Greek Beef & Lamb Smashburgers

We make a lot of Greek inspired food at my house, and we also love Burger Night. So why not combine the two!

Things to note:

Ingredients

  • 1/2 LB Ground Lamb

  • 1/2 LB Ground Beef

  • 2 Tablespoons Lamb and Goat Seasoning

  • Feta Block - Sliced Thin

  • White American Cheese Sliced (x4)

  • Tzatziki Sauce

  • Butter Lettuce

  • Tomato Sliced

  • Red Onion Sliced Thin (or Shallots)

  • Hamburger Buns (x2)

  • Salt, Pepper, Garlic to taste.

  • Kalamata Olives for Garnish (Optional)

  • Small Blocks of Feta Cheese for Garnish (Optional)

Directions:

Combine both Lamb and Beef together, and season with the Lamb/Goat Seasoning. Separate into Four 4oz Balls.

On a preheated Blackstone Griddle, place all four patties on the heated surface, and smash with a Hamburger Press until thin, season with SPG (Optional). After about 5 minutes, flip the Burgers, and season again with optional SPG.

On two of the patties place 2x Slices of White American Cheese, and on the other two patties place the Sliced Feta evenly. Use a Lid/Dome and Water to steam the burgers to melt the cheese. Place one patty topped with Feta on one patty with the American Cheese.

Arrange the burger with Tzatziki Sauce, Butter Lettuce, Red Onions and Tomatoes. Garnish with a Feta Block & Kalamata Olive. Opa!
