Asian Style Sticky Ribs

There’s no other way to put it - these Asian inspired sticky ribs are flat out mind blowing. Sweet with a little heat, these are a great breakaway from your standard BBQ Pork Rib. Gotta try these!

Ingredients:

  • Rack of Baby Back Pork Ribs

  • Sucklebusters Honey Chipotle Rub

  • Sucklebusters SPG Rub

  • 1 Stick of Butter Cut into Cubes

  • Honey

  • Maple Syrup (About 2 Tablespoons)

  • Apple Juice

For the Sauce:

  • ½ Cup Bachans

  • Sriracha (To Desired Heat Level)

Garnish:

  • Sesame Seeds

  • Green Onion Sliced

Other Stuff You’ll Need:

  • Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil

  • Spray Bottle/Sprayer

Directions:

Preheat your Blackstone Pellet Smoker to 225°

Remove the back membrane from the Rack of Ribs. Using Bachans as a Binder, season the entire rack liberally with the Honey Chipotle Rub as a base layer, and then a light top coat of the SPG Seasoning.

Once ready, place in the smoker, and smoke for 3 hours. Spritz/Spray the ribs down whenever the ribs start to look dry (every 30-45 mins).

After the 3 hour mark, remove the ribs from the smoker, and set the temp to 275°.

Now, it’s time to wrap! Lay a couple pieces of tin foil down, and layer it with Honey, Maple Syrup, Butter Cubes, More Honey Chipotle Rub, and Bachans. Then, lay the rack of ribs meat-side down on the covered tin foil. Place the remaining butter cubes on the backside of the ribs, add more Bachans, and finally add a few spritzes of Apple Juice.

Wrap up the ribs, and place back in the smoker, meat side down, for 1 hour.

Pull from the smoker, and set the temp back down to 225°. Remove from the tin foil. Whisk the ½ Cup of Bachans and Sriracha to your desired heat level. Once mixed, baste the sauce generously over the meat of the ribs.

Place the ribs back on the smoker for about 30 minutes, or until the sauce starts to tack up. Once done, remove from the smoker, and sprinkle the Sesame Seeds and Green Onions over the top.

Slice, and enjoy!
